The STEP 48 Preload electric strike is a smooth and reliable electric strike with a forward-facing function, designed for environments where the door is to be locked with a key or knob.<\/p>\n
It is part of STEP's Preload series and offers a compact design combined with advanced technology to ensure reliable operation \u2013 even when pressed against the door.<\/p>\n
Thanks to STEP's patented strip pressure technology, the door can be unlocked even if it is exposed to strip pressure of up to 40 kg.<\/p>\n
This makes the product particularly suitable in spaces that require smooth opening even under load, such as in office premises, apartment buildings or public environments.<\/p>\n
The electric strike is reversible for both right- and left-hung doors and is tamper-proof and equipped with a built-in protection diode.<\/p>\n
It has a breaking strength of 9 kN (approx. 900 kg) and can be used with both single and double-latch locks.<\/p>\n
It is also possible to supplement with a lock indicator (ST4880) that blocks the access system when mechanical locking has occurred - for increased security.<\/p>\n
