The STEP 18 Secure electric strike is an advanced electric strike that belongs to STEP's Secure series - developed for door environments with very high demands on security and reliable function.<\/p>\n
This model is adapted for right-hung doors with bolt locks in the Connect series (9 mm plunger).<\/p>\n
With the reverse function, the electric strike is unlocked in the de-energized position, which makes it particularly suitable for doors with evacuation requirements and in environments where continuous passage is required \u2013 for example in banks, government agencies, prisons and security-classified properties.<\/p>\n
STEP 18 is fire rated up to E\/EI60 and approved for security doors up to RC4.<\/p>\n
The electric strike is equipped with both a piston contact and a latch contact, which provides precise indication of the door's status (open\/closed, locked\/unlocked) for integration with alarm and access control systems.<\/p>\n
It is tamper-proof, has a built-in protection diode and opens even with a strip pressure of up to 5 kN (approx. 500 kg). With a breaking strength of 15 kN, STEP 18 is one of the most robust options on the market.<\/p>\n
