It contains both <strong>optical smoke sensor, fixed temperature sensor and detection of rapid temperature increase<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The detector uses <strong>PowerG wireless technology<\/strong> which provides stable and secure communication with the alarm system.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Replaces previous models<\/h2>\n<p>The SMD-976 PGP is the next generation of PowerG fire detectors and can replace previous models in many installations such as <strong>Visonic SMD-429<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new model offers improved diagnostics, longer battery life and modern PowerG communication.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Advanced diagnostics<\/h2>\n<p>The detector offers several features that simplify service and maintenance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>real-time reporting of battery level via the alarm panel<\/li>\n<li>dust monitoring of the smoke chamber (with compatible PowerG+ panels)<\/li>\n<li>easy access to the smoke chamber for cleaning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These features help maintain optimal performance over time.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>PowerG technology<\/h2>\n<p>PowerG is Visonics&#039; advanced wireless technology for security products and offers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>high operational reliability<\/li>\n<li>stable communication<\/li>\n<li>long range<\/li>\n<li>two-way communication between sensor and central<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Compatibility<\/h2>\n<p>SMD-976 PGP is compatible with <strong>Visonic PowerMaster panels from firmware version 20.xxx and later<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently reports that some older PowerMaster panels with older firmware may have problems connecting to this model.
