The HID multiCLASS SE RP40 is part of HID’s proven iCLASS SE platform and offers a flexible solution for businesses that use multiple card technologies. The reader is ideal for businesses, government agencies, schools, hospitals and other environments where secure and future-proof access control is a requirement.

The larger design is adapted for standard junction boxes and covers a standard single gang box, making it ideal for new installations and replacements of older card readers.

High security with SIO

multiCLASS SE RP40 uses HID's Secure Identity Object (SIO) which protects identity information with advanced encryption and provides significantly better protection than traditional RFID solutions.

This makes the reader suitable for businesses with high demands on IT and physical security.

Secure communication

The reader supports Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) for encrypted and bidirectional communication between card readers and access controls.
