STEP 130 is an electric push lock with a unique automatic piston that provides a dual function.
This allows the lock to be opened both electrically with a push button and with automatic door opening.
Of course, this electric push lock is also equipped with our patented strip pressure technology, which ensures that the lock can withstand very high strip pressure.
Thanks to these properties, STEP 130 is an obvious choice for door environments with automatic door systems, fire and evacuation requirements, where you also want to ensure high operational reliability.
STEP 130 has exactly the same great features and technologies as STEP 110.
The difference between the two electric push locks is that the STEP 130 has an automatic piston that folds when the door is opened electrically.
STEP 130 is therefore adapted for door environments where you want increased accessibility and/or disability adaptation.
The dual function of the automatic piston
The automatic piston gives the electric end plate a double function.
When the door is opened with pressure, the STEP 130 works just like a normal electric pressure lock with a drop piston.
When the door is opened electrically, the automatic piston can fold, thus enabling opening with automatic door operation.
Immediately after the door is opened, the automatic piston extends, locks into position and functions as a regular drop piston again.
Fire retention and high wear resistance
Because the automatic piston looks like a regular drop piston, it can distribute the wear resistance over its entire surface.
It also ensures that fire containment is maintained, even if a gap should arise between the piston and the striker plate.
This, in combination with STEP Strip Pressure Technology, means that STEP 130 can withstand high strip pressure and ensures high operational reliability.
With split function
STEP 130 is equipped with a split function, which means that you can let any side of the lock take place with a mechanical exit.
Space and high durability are ensured by the mechanically controlled side having a solid attachment where the split function is secured by stainless and hardened details.

Function:
The automatic piston locks/unlocks electrically via an open signal from an access system, code lock, push button or similar.
The automatic piston is retracted mechanically via the cylinder rower with a key from the outside or a key/knob from the inside.
The pressure on the outside is electrically activated via access system, code lock or similar and retracts the automatic piston.
The pressure on the inside is always mechanically active and retracts the automatic piston.
