STEP 132 is an electric pressure lock with a unique automatic piston that provides a double function. It enables the lock to be opened both electrically with pressure and door automation.
Of course, this electric pressure lock is also equipped with our patented molding pressure technology, which ensures that the lock can withstand a very high molding pressure. Thanks to these properties, STEP 132 is an obvious choice for door environments with door automation, fire and evacuation requirements, where you simultaneously want to ensure a high operational reliability.
STEP 132 has exactly the same fine features and technologies as STEP 112. The difference between the two electric pressure locks is that STEP 132 has an automatic piston that folds when the door is opened electrically. STEP 132 is therefore adapted for door environments where you want increased accessibility.
The dual function of the automatic piston
The automatic piston gives the electric end plate a double function. When the door is opened with pressure, the STEP 132 works just like a normal electric pressure lock with a drop piston.
When the door is opened electrically, the automatic piston can fold and thus enables opening with door automation. Immediately after the door is opened, the automatic piston extends, becomes fixed in its position and functions as a normal drop piston again. STEP 132 is without a split function, which means that the lock is electrically controlled from both sides.
Fire retention and high wear resistance
Because the automatic piston looks like a normal drop piston, it can distribute the wear resistance over its entire surface. It also ensures that fire containment is maintained, even if there is a gap between the piston and the end plate. This, in combination with STEP Strip pressure technology, means that the STEP 132 can withstand a high strip pressure and ensures a high operational reliability.

Function:
The automatic piston locks/unlocks electrically via an open signal from an access system, code lock, push button or similar.
The automatic piston is retracted mechanically via the cylinder rower with a key from the outside or a key/knob from the inside.
The pressure on the inside and outside is activated electrically via a pass system, code lock or the like and retracts the automatic piston.
