HID Signo 40 Pigtail – RFID Card Reader with Bluetooth and NFC

The HID Signo 40 is part of HID’s latest Signo platform and offers a flexible solution for professional access control systems. It combines support for traditional RFID cards with mobile access via Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) and NFC, making it ideal for both new installations and the modernisation of existing systems.

The larger model is intended for mounting on a standard single gang box or flat wall surfaces and is supplied with Pigtail connection, which provides a quick and flexible installation.

Mobile access and RFID in the same reader

Signo 40 supports both traditional access cards and modern mobile identities via HID Mobile Access®.

Secure and future-proof

The Signo series uses a certified Secure Element for the secure storage of encryption keys and intelligent surface detection that automatically optimises the read range depending on the mounting surface.

Reader supports:

• OSDP for secure and encrypted communication
• Wiegand for compatibility with older access control systems

Bluetooth also makes it possible to configure, administer and update the reader via HID Reader Manager without dismantling it.
