Stonehouse Smart ZigBee Relay Module with Potential Free Contact (24-32V DC)

This product uses ZigBee and requires a compatible hub/gateway to be controlled via Stonehouse Smart App.

The advantage of ZigBee compared to WiFi is that it provides a more stable smart home network, faster

Smart control for low voltage with ZigBee

Stonehouse Smart ZigBee Relay Module with potential-free contact makes it easy to integrate lighting, pumps, control systems, motors and other low-voltage devices into your smart home. The module communicates via ZigBee 3.0, which provides stable and energy-efficient communication compared to traditional WiFi devices.

Thanks to the potential-free relay output, the module can be used in many different types of control systems where a standard voltage output is not suitable.

We recommend our Multihub: Avatto GW60-Matter, a wired ZigBee gateway with support for Matter, ZigBee and Thread.

Discreet installation behind the switch

The compact design allows the module to be easily mounted in a device box, junction box or enclosure. Installation takes place behind an existing switch or close to the equipment to be controlled, providing a discreet and professional installation with no visible components.

Perfect for modernizing existing installations where you want to keep current switches but at the same time get smart control.

Full control directly in the mobile

With the Stonehouse Smart app, you can control connected devices wherever you are. Turn equipment on or off, create schedules and automations, or check current status directly from your mobile.

The module can also remember the last relay status after a power outage, allowing connected devices to return to the desired state when power returns.

App features

  • Remote control via mobile phone
  • Scheduling and timer functions
  • Real-time status display
  • Automations and smart scenarios
  • Memory function after power failure

Integrates into your smart home

Through ZigBee 3.0, the module can be integrated with other compatible ZigBee devices to create advanced automations. For example, lighting can be activated when motion is detected, pumps can be controlled according to a time schedule, or the relay can react to signals from sensors.

ZigBee creates a stable mesh network where devices cooperate for better range and reliability while reducing the load on your WiFi network.

Please note that a compatible ZigBee hub is required for use.

Share control with family

You can easily share access with family members or other users right in the app, allowing multiple people to control the same device without having to use the same account.

Perfect for families, holiday homes, properties or smaller businesses where multiple people need access to the same functions.

Frequently asked questions
What is Stonehouse Smart ZigBee Relay Module with Potential-Free Contact?
It is a smart ZigBee relay module with potential-free contact used to control low-voltage equipment such as lighting, pumps, control systems, motors and other electrical devices via the Stonehouse Smart App.
What does a potential-free contact mean?
A potential-free contact acts as an electrical switch without its own voltage on the output. This makes the module compatible with many different control systems and applications where a regular voltage output is not suitable.
Does the relay module require a hub or gateway?
Yes, the product uses ZigBee and requires a compatible ZigBee hub or gateway to work with the Stonehouse Smart App.
Which hub is recommended?
We recommend the Multihub Avatto GW60-Matter, a wired gateway with support for Matter, ZigBee and Thread.
Why should I choose ZigBee instead of WiFi?
ZigBee provides more stable communication, lower power consumption, and reduces the load on the regular WiFi network. In addition, ZigBee devices create a mesh network that improves range and reliability.
What apps does the relay module work with?
The relay module is compatible with Stonehouse Smart App, Tuya and Smart Life.
What voltage is the module designed for?
The module is intended for low-voltage installations and is powered by DC 24–32V.
How many channels does the relay module have?
The module has one channel with potential-free relay output.
What maximum load can the relay handle?
The relay output can handle up to 16A load.
Can I control the relay from my mobile phone?
Yes, via the Stonehouse Smart App you can turn the relay on and off, check status and create automations directly from your mobile phone.
Can I create schedules and timer functions?
Yes, the app supports scheduling, timer functions, and advanced automations.
Does the module have real-time status display?
Yes, you can see the relay's current status directly in the app.
What happens after a power outage?
The module has a memory function that allows the relay to return to the desired position when power returns.
Can the relay module be integrated with other smart products?
Yes, it can be used together with other ZigBee devices to create smart scenarios and automations.
What automations can be created?
For example, you can control lighting via motion sensors, start pumps according to a schedule, or activate the relay based on signals from other sensors.
Where can the relay module be installed?
The module can be mounted flush in a device box, junction box, electrical cabinet or other suitable enclosure.

WiFi or Zigbee? Which technology is best for your smart home?
❓ What is the difference between WiFi and Zigbee?

Answer: WiFi devices connect directly to your wireless network and do not require an additional gateway. Zigbee instead uses its own Mesh network and requires a Zigbee Gateway to communicate with the Stonehouse Smart app. WiFi is great for cameras and relays, while Zigbee is ideal for sensors and larger smart homes.

❓ Do I need a Zigbee Gateway?

Answer: Yes. To use Zigbee products, you need a Stonehouse Smart Zigbee Gateway. The gateway connects to your router and acts as the hub that allows all Zigbee devices to communicate with each other and with the Stonehouse Smart app.

❓ Do WiFi products need a gateway?

Answer: No. WiFi products connect directly to your existing WiFi network and do not require a separate gateway or hub.

❓ Can I use WiFi and Zigbee at the same time?

Answer: Yes. Stonehouse Smart is designed to support both WiFi and Zigbee products in the same app. Many people choose to combine the technologies to create a flexible and future-proof smart home.

❓ Why does Zigbee have such a long battery life?

Answer: Zigbee sensors are in sleep mode most of the time and only activate when they need to send information, such as movement, temperature changes or when a door is opened. This provides very low power consumption and long battery life.

❓ How does Zigbee Mesh work?

Answer: Many Zigbee devices powered by 230V act as repeaters and send the signal to the next device. In this way, a Mesh network is built that provides better coverage and higher stability the more fixed Zigbee devices are installed.

❓ Which Zigbee devices work as repeaters?

Answer: Most Zigbee devices that are powered by 230V, such as relay modules, dimmers, smart plugs and wall switches, normally work as repeaters. Battery-powered sensors usually do not work as repeaters.

❓ How long is the range of Zigbee?

Answer: The range is affected by walls, building materials and other obstacles. Typically, the range is about 10 to 25 meters indoors between two Zigbee devices. Thanks to Mesh technology, the total coverage can be significantly greater when more devices are installed.

❓ Is WiFi or Zigbee best?

Answer: It depends on the application. WiFi is an excellent choice for cameras, relays, energy metering and products that need direct internet connection. Zigbee is best suited for sensors, automation and larger installations where long battery life and stable communication are important.

❓ What is Stonehouse Smart?

Answer: Stonehouse Smart is a growing ecosystem for smart homes where WiFi and Zigbee products work together in the same app. The range is continuously developing and includes smart lighting, electrical control, cameras, security, climate, irrigation and other smart solutions for homes and businesses.
