HID Signo 40 T2 – High-frequency RFID card reader with Bluetooth and NFC

HID Signo 40 T2 is part of HID's modern Signo platform and is developed for installations where only 13.56 MHz smart card is used. Unlike the standard model, the T2 version no support for 125 kHz Prox cards, making it ideal for organisations that have completely transitioned to modern, encrypted RFID technologies.

Mobile access and smartcards

Signo 40 T2 supports both modern RFID cards and mobile access via HID Mobile Access®.

This makes it easy to combine physical cards and mobile credentials in the same access control system.

Secure and future-proof

Signo 40 T2 uses a certified Secure Element for secure storage of encryption keys and intelligent surface detection that automatically optimises the read range after installation.

Furthermore, the reader supports:

• OSDP for encrypted two-way communication
• Wiegand for compatibility with existing access control systems

Bluetooth is also used for configuration and firmware updates via HID Reader Manager.
