DoorSense Pro has a compact, discreet design that blends into the environment. It is powered by 2 × CR2450 batteries and has very low power consumption (≤10 µA in standby), which gives a estimated battery life of up to 5 years during normal use.

SecureX DoorSense Pro is a magnetic contact that monitors doors, windows and other openings. It uses Long Range 868 MHz (LoRa) and sends events via the SecureX hub to the app.
Do I need a SecureX hub to use DoorSense Pro?
Yes. DoorSense Pro is used in conjunction with the SecureX hub and cannot be used standalone.
How does the sensor work when a door or window is opened?
When the door or window is opened, the magnet separates from the sensor and the event is sent to the SecureX hub. You can then receive real-time notifications in the Stonehouse Smart app.
What is the range of DoorSense Pro?
Up to approximately 500 meters in clear line of sight with Long Range 868 MHz. Indoors, the range may be shorter due to walls, metal and other obstacles.
What app is used?

WiFi or Zigbee? Which technology is best for your smart home?

Answer: Yes. To use Zigbee products, you need a Stonehouse Smart Zigbee Gateway. The gateway connects to your router and acts as the hub that allows all Zigbee devices to communicate with each other and with the Stonehouse Smart app.

Answer: No. WiFi products connect directly to your existing WiFi network and do not require a separate gateway or hub.

❓ Why does Zigbee have such a long battery life?
Answer: Zigbee sensors are in sleep mode most of the time and only activate when they need to send information, such as movement, temperature changes or when a door is opened. This provides very low power consumption and long battery life.
❓ How does Zigbee Mesh work?
Answer: Many Zigbee devices powered by 230V act as repeaters and send the signal to the next device. In this way, a Mesh network is built that provides better coverage and higher stability the more fixed Zigbee devices are installed.
❓ Which Zigbee devices work as repeaters?
Answer: Most Zigbee devices that are powered by 230V, such as relay modules, dimmers, smart plugs and wall switches, normally work as repeaters. Battery-powered sensors usually do not work as repeaters.

Answer: The range is affected by walls, building materials and other obstacles. Typically, the range is about 10 to 25 meters indoors between two Zigbee devices. Thanks to Mesh technology, the total coverage can be significantly greater when more devices are installed.
