Seagate SkyHawk 6TB HDD – Hard Drive for Camera Surveillance – ST6000VX009

Hard drive developed for camera surveillance

The actual storage time depends, among other things, on:

• Number of cameras
• Resolution of the cameras
• Frame rate
• Video compression
• Recording 24/7 or only when moving
• Valued image quality

ImagePerfect for stable video recording

Seagates ImagePerfect firmware is developed to provide smooth and stable video recording in surveillance systems that operate around the clock.

The hard drive can handle recording from up to 64 HD cameras in compatible systems and is optimized for simultaneous storage of multiple video streams.

Adapted for continuous operation

With a workload limit of up to 180 TB per year and an indicated MTBF of 1,000,000 hours, the hard drive offers good reliability for smaller and medium-sized surveillance systems.

CMR recording technology

The hard drive uses CMR, Conventional Magnetic Recording. This technology provides consistent and predictable write performance during continuous recording and is therefore well suited for NVR systems and camera surveillance.

256 MB cache and SATA 6 Gb/s

The SATA 6 Gb/s interface provides broad compatibility with modern NVR devices, surveillance servers, and other systems that support internal 3.5-inch SATA hard drives.

RV sensors for stable operation

Built-in RV sensors detect rotational vibrations that can occur when multiple hard drives are operating simultaneously in the same NVR or surveillance server.

It helps the hard drive maintain stable performance and reliable recording in compatible multi-drive systems.

SkyHawk Health Management

SkyHawk Health Management can monitor the hard drive status in compatible NVR systems and help identify potential storage problems.

The hard drive also supports S.M.A.R.T., which enables compatible systems to read information about the disk's health and functionality.

Suitable for several types of NVR systems

• Ajax
• SecureVision
• Hikvision
• Dahua
• Uniview
• Other manufacturers that support 3.5-inch SATA hard drives

Pre-installed in the NVR

The hard drive can also be ordered together with a compatible NVR.

When the pre-installation is selected, the hard drive is mounted in the NVR unit and checked before delivery. The customer then receives a complete solution where the hard drive and NVR are delivered together.

Three-year warranty and Rescue Data Recovery

Seagate SkyHawk ST6000VX009 levereras med tre års begränsad tillverkargaranti och tre års Seagate Rescue Data Recovery Services.
