Adapted for continuous operation

The Seagate SkyHawk ST6000VX009 is designed for continuous operation 24 hours a day. It is built to handle long recording periods and the repeated writing of large amounts of video data.

With a workload limit of up to 180 TB per year and an indicated MTBF of 1,000,000 hours, the hard drive offers good reliability for smaller and medium-sized surveillance systems.

CMR recording technology

The hard drive uses CMR, Conventional Magnetic Recording. This technology provides consistent and predictable write performance during continuous recording and is therefore well suited for NVR systems and camera surveillance.

The SkyHawk ST6000VX009 has a 256 MB cache memory and a maximum continuous transfer speed of up to 180 MB/s.

RV sensors for stable operation
