• With the handle in the closed position, the arc is held with friction in the desired ventilation position.
• To protect the frame and hinges, the window brake slips when overloaded.
• With the handle in the open position, the bow has clearance.
• The holding friction increases with a larger opening angle.
• Right or left is determined depending on the spagnolette and door hinge.

That the product is called "Right" or "Left" has nothing to do with whether your door is left- or right-hung. As an example, "Left" means that the brake rod is on the left side inside the brake box/chest when the open side of the box is facing up.
