Assa / Fix 160 – Window brake for patio doors and windows

Assa Fix 160 used together with ASSA espagnolette with transfer in both windows and patio doors. The series has detachable frame bracket and one 20 mm wide brake box.

The brake helps the door or window to stay in a ventilation position instead of closing or opening completely.

Unlike Fix 150, Fix 160 a detachable frame bracket, which allows the brake to be easily disengaged if necessary.

To find the right model you need to check:

  • The length of the brake box
  • Whether the model is left or right

1. Measure the brake box

Measure the length of the straight aluminum part of the brake.

  • 252 mm
  • 347mm
  • 352mm
  • 447mm
  • 452mm

2. Left or right

Turn the brake box so that the short side is facing you and look at the brake pin in the mechanism.

  • Left: stick on the left side
  • Right: stick on the right side

Note: This has nothing to do with the door hinges. It's just the position of the brake pin that determines which variant you should choose.
