Window brake / Door brake 160S/4 L=1100mm Left

The ASSA ABLOY 160S is a window brake for windows and window doors together with a spaniel that has transmission (denoted by F in the Designation). Generally used for windows & window doors together with ASSA/FIX spanjolet which has transmission for door brake. 160S is type-approved as a child-proof locking device according to the Swedish Housing Authority's Building Regulations, BBR, this applies when the key is removed from control knob 4570 (purchased separately). Used to keep windows and patio doors open in the desired ventilation position. Window brake 160S has a detachable frame bracket and is mounted with frame bracket 5580 or 5550T, which is purchased separately.

• Operated with the handle of the spaniel.
• With the handle in the closed position, the arc is held with friction in the desired ventilation position.
• To protect the frame and hinges, the window brake slips when overloaded.
• With the handle in the open position, the bow has clearance.
• The holding friction increases with a larger opening angle.
• Right or left is determined depending on the spagnolette and door hinge.

• Locking plunger that limits the opening to the permitted ventilation position for child safety (max. 100 mm opening gap).
• To open past the lock position, the removable key must be inserted and opened.
• The key is turned before the bow reaches the detent position, when the bow opens.
• The locking function is automatically resumed when the arch is closed and the key is removed.

The fact that the product is called "Right" or "Left" has nothing to do with whether your door is left- or right-hung. As an example, a "Left" means that the brake lever is on the left side inside the brake box/chest when the open side of the box is facing up.
