Ajax CombiProtect is an innovative and advanced security solution that combines two important functions – motion detection and glass break detection – in one and the same device.

This wireless detector provides complete protection by ensuring that both intrusions through doors and windows as well as potential glass breakage are quickly detected.

The motion sensor has a range of up to 12 meters, which allows it to monitor a large area, and it uses a PIR (passive infrared) sensor to detect movement.

The sensor is also equipped with animal immunity, which means that pets with a weight of up to 20 kg and a height of up to 50 cm are ignored, minimizing the risk of false alarms caused by moving animals.

The broken glass detector has a range of up to 9 meters and is equipped with an electret microphone that reacts to the sound of broken glass.

To prevent false alarms, a specific sequence of sounds is required (first a muffled blow, followed by the sound of falling glass) which means it avoids unwanted activations from, for example, thunder or dog barking.

The device is designed to be highly reliable and secure. CombiProtect has built-in authentication functions to prevent manipulation and sabotage.

Attempts to tamper with the device trigger a tamper alarm that immediately sends a signal to the Ajax system hub.

The detector can be operated for up to 5 years with a pre-installed CR123A battery and works efficiently in temperatures between -10°C and +40°C.

It communicates wirelessly with the hub via Ajax Jeweler, a secure protocol that guarantees reliable and secure data transmission up to 1,200 meters in open terrain.

In the event of any interference or signal blocking, the Ajax system switches to another radio frequency to ensure constant communication.

CombiProtect is easy to install and configure via the Ajax mobile app, where the user can quickly add the device to the system and customize settings such as sensitivity and alarm functions.
