The Apollo Orbis IS optical smoke detector is a high-performance solution for reliably detecting fires, especially for slow-burning or smoldering fires.

By using the light scattering principle, it measures light scattered by smoke gases, making it very effective at detecting both black and white smoke.

The Orbis IS model offers improved sensitivity to black smoke, making it superior to standard optical detectors which are more sensitive to white smoke.

Another key feature is the algorithms that help reduce false alarms by filtering out transients, ensuring that the detector does not react to non-fire-related phenomena such as smoke from smoking or other sources.

DirtAlert® technology informs if the detector needs cleaning, and SensAlert® warns if the detector is not functioning properly.
