STEP 48 Preload is an electric strike with reverse function, designed to ensure security in spaces that are locked with a knob or key.

Equipped with a piston contact and protection diode, as well as a breaking strength of 9 kN (approx. 900 kg).

Electric strike STEP 48 Preload is a high-security electric strike that is ideal for doors in spaces that require locking with a knob or key.

To provide extra security and functionality, it is possible to install a bolt indicator (ST4880), which can be used to block the door's access system or door automation when the lock housing's hook bolt or straight bolt has been mechanically unlocked.

This electric strike is equipped with STEP's patented strip pressure technology, which allows the door to be unlocked even if it is subjected to pressure of up to 40 kg.

With a breaking strength of 9 kN (approx. 900 kg) and the ability to open despite a strip pressure of 0.4 kN (approx. 40 kg) in both forward and reverse operation, STEP 48 Preload offers both safety and reliability.

The built-in piston switch provides indication of door status (closed/open), making it easy to integrate with access control systems and other security solutions.
