EasyLine 4G GSM alarm transmitter – PSTN / TIP-RING telephone line

EasyLine 4G works as a GSM alarm transmitter and PSTN simulator for alarm systems that use TIP/RING telephone lines. EasyLine 4G is an alarm transmitter with simulated telephone line (PSTN / TIP-RING) which makes it possible to use older alarm systems via the mobile network instead of a landline.

It is specially designed for installations where the alarm normally rings via an analogue telephone line. EasyLine 4G then creates a complete telephone line (48V) via GSM/4G so that the alarm system can call mobile phones or alarm centers just like before.

It's an easy way to get older alarms working again when the copper network or 2G/3G transmitter goes down – without having to replace the entire alarm system.

EasyLine 4G is designed for quick installation.

  • Connect the alarm's telephone output to TIP/CALL

Frequently asked questions
What is EasyLine 4G?
EasyLine 4G is a GSM alarm transmitter that creates a simulated telephone line (PSTN / TIP/RING) via the mobile network. It is used to replace landline telephone lines or older 2G/3G transmitters in existing alarm systems.
Does EasyLine 4G work with my existing alarm system?
Yes, in most cases. EasyLine 4G works with alarm systems that were previously connected to an analog telephone line, such as Teletec, DSC, Paradox and similar. If your alarm currently rings when an alarm occurs, EasyLine 4G normally works directly as a replacement.
Can EasyLine 4G be used for alarms other than burglar alarms?
Yes. EasyLine 4G is also used for many other types of technical alarms, such as boiler alarms, operational alarms, property alarms or elevator alarms that normally call via telephone line, but not exclusively telephone line.
Can EasyLine 4G be used without an alarm system or telephone line?
Yes. EasyLine 4G can also be used as a standalone alarm transmitter.

By using the device's input (NO/NC), for example, a relay, boiler alarm or other signal can be connected. When the input changes state, the device can send SMS or call pre-programmed phone numbers.

All you need is power (plus and minus), a SIM card and a signal at the input.
How to install EasyLine 4G?
Installation is simple. Connect the alarm's telephone output to the TIP/RING on the unit, insert a SIM card and connect power. For most installations, no programming is required.
Which SIM card should I use?
A regular SIM card works fine, both prepaid and postpaid. The PIN code should be turned off and the SIM card must be able to make calls.
Does it work if I only want to be called in case of an alarm?
Yes. This is one of the most common applications. The alarm system then calls mobile phones via EasyLine 4G just like via a regular telephone line.
How do I enter a phone number via SMS?
Phone numbers can be entered by sending an SMS to the device. The default command is for example: 1234SMSTEL=+46701234567 where 1234 is the default security code. The number entered will then receive alarm messages.
Can EasyLine 4G send SMS in case of alarm?
Yes. EasyLine 4G can send SMS to up to 8 phone numbers in case of alarms or other events. This requires simple programming via SMS or via computer software.
Does EasyLine 4G have inputs and outputs?
Yes. The device has 1 input (NO or NC) and 1 open-collector output. The output can be controlled, for example, via phone calls from approved phone numbers.
When is a USB programmer needed?
The USB programmer is used if you want to configure the device via computer with a visual interface. Many settings can also be made via SMS commands directly to the device.
Is EasyLine 4G a replacement for 2G and 3G transmitters?
Yes. EasyLine 4G is often used to replace older alarm transmitters that use 2G or 3G and no longer work when mobile networks are shut down.
Can EasyLine 4G be used without an alarm center?
Yes. Many people use it to let the alarm system call directly to mobile phones instead of to an alarm center.
Is the antenna included?
Yes. A 4G antenna with SMA connector is always included.
Can EasyLine 4G be used for boiler alarms or operational alarms?
Yes. EasyLine 4G is often used for boiler alarms, pump alarms and other technical alarms. A relay from the equipment is then connected to the device's input. When the signal changes, the device can call or send SMS to pre-programmed phone numbers.
