ABLOY EL595 is a motor lock with drop piston. This means a unique opportunity to combine requirements for accessibility, fire protection and evacuation. The robust escape fittings meet the requirements of SS-EN 179. Doors with this lock type are opened with door automation or with the help of a pull handle/pressure plate or alternatively pressure. The locks are controlled by signals from e.g. a pass system. The drop piston is driven to unlock by the built-in motor. Locking occurs automatically/mechanically independent of electrical power, which ensures use in doors in fire cells. The EL595 has a drop piston with a spring lock which means it locks out to 20mm. If EL595 is used in the fire cell limit, the drop piston must be set in the 14 mm position. The lock is set so that the escape fitting is always engaged. This is a prerequisite for SS-EN 179.
Properties:
- Mandrel depth 50 mm
- The EL595 differs in height from the connect and module series, see drawing.
- Adjustable drop piston, 14 mm or 20 mm projection. In fire doors, only the 14 mm position is used.
- The lock has a built-in controller and requires a permanent power supply to the lock housing.
- The unlocked time is 1.7 seconds.
