ASSA ABLOY 179A is an emergency escape fitting for an outward-opening hinged door in a modular profile design. Can be combined with lock housing 710, 721, 722 or 727 with 50 or 70 mm mandrel depth. 179A is intended for escape routes where there are no special requirements for panic evacuation. The lock is opened with a hand grip, which means a safe escape.

Characteristics
  • Emergency escape fitting ASSA ABLOY 179A is certified according to SS-EN 179 
  • Mounted together with lock housing 710, 721, 722 or 727 mandrel depth 50/70 mm 
  • The lock housing can be obtained with a microswitch 
  • For doors with B/C dimensions less than 25mm, at least a 3mm spacer plate 179 is recommended
  • Not reversible. 

Function
  • The door can always be opened from the inside via the escape handle
  • When choosing lock housing 710 or 727, re-occupancy is possible via pressure from the outside after evacuation has been carried out
  • Lock housings 721, 722 and 727 can be combined with electric end plates
  • Authorized passage with a key is possible from both the inside and outside without the alarm indication being affected
  • The escape handle can be sealed with sealing wire
