Optex FMX-DST – Indoor motion detector with high precision and low false alarm rate

Optex FMX-DST is a high-performance passive infrared (PIR) motion detector designed for indoor use in, for example, homes, offices and light commercial environments. The detector offers 15×15 meter wide coverage with an 85° angle, optimized for mounting at heights between 2.2 and 3.0 meters.

Thanks to the intelligent Digital Quad Zone Logic™ movements are analyzed with extreme accuracy. More than four overlapping zones are used at each point to determine whether to trigger an alarm, which effectively reduces the risk of false alarms – even in the presence of smaller animals such as house cats.

The FMX-DST is also equipped with Double Conductive Shielding, which makes it work stably even in environments with strong sunlight or electrical interference.
