and equipped with a range of advanced features, making them “better by design”.
The ECO1005 A thermal detector uses a state-of-the-art thermal element in combination with an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) for fast and accurate fire detection. The detector has both rising and static elements and is suitable for all areas where ambient conditions do not normally exhibit rapid temperature changes.
A laser-based handheld remote test device can be used with the ECO1000 detectors for alarm testing purposes. The device transmits a coded message, which prevents false alarms from being generated by other laser-based devices. With a range of several meters, the handheld test device is an easy way to alarm test the ECO1000 detectors remotely and the user does not need to have direct physical access to the detector.
The ECO1005 A detector also has a built-in LED that lights up to provide a local alarm signal. This latches and remains lit until the detector is reset by a temporary power failure. A remote LED annunciator can be used to repeat an alarm signal.
A variety of detector bases can be used with the ECO1005 A detector, providing flexibility and compatibility with a wide range of fire alarm control panels. All bases are fitted with a short-circuit spring to allow circuit testing before mounting the detector and have a tamper-proof feature, which when activated prevents removal of the detector without the use of a tool.
