RJ45 data cable crimping tools are used to attach RJ45 connectors to network cables, usually Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6a categories.

Remove approximately 20mm of the outer casing using the versatile crimping tool.

Arrange the wires in the correct color coding sequence (most common is EIA/TIA 568B). Insert the cable into the connector and slide the wires through. The outer sheath of the cable should sit as far up into the connector as possible.
EIA/TIA 568B is a standard for color coding the wires in network cables (Ethernet cables) with RJ45 connectors. The color sequence for EIA/TIA 568B is:
White/Orange
Orange
White/Green
Blue
White/Blue
Green
White/Brown
Brown
This sequence is often used to create straight network cables where both ends are connected according to the same standard.

Press the “Lock” button on the crimp tool to open it and make it ready for use. Insert the charged RJ45 connector into the socket and squeeze the handle to shrink the connector; excess wires are cut off at the same time.
