STEP 28E Secure electric strike with reverse function for left-hung doors and 9 mm piston in the Connect series. Fire class E/EI 60. Incl. 5 m cable.

The STEP 28E Secure electric strike is designed to meet very high requirements for safety, evacuation and fire classification.

With its reverse function – meaning the leaf is unlocked in the event of a power failure – it is an ideal choice for escape doors in environments where safety must not be compromised.

The plate is specially adapted for left-hung doors with a 9 mm piston in the Connect series.

Thanks to the high breaking strength of over 15 kN and STEP's strip pressure technology, reliable function is ensured even under pressure from door strips of up to 500 kg.

This makes STEP 28E suitable for installations with automatic door systems, pull handles and combination with emergency escape locks according to SS-EN 179.

The electric strike has both a piston and latch contact, which enables precise indication of the door's status – perfect for integration with alarm or access control systems.

It is also fire-approved according to E/EI 60, which ensures that it maintains its function for up to 60 minutes in the event of a fire.

Comes complete with 5 meters of halogen-free connection cable and is tamper-proof for increased tamper resistance.
