Electric strike STEP 28E Secure is a robust and reliable electric strike designed for environments where high security, fire resistance and escape functions must be combined with modern door automation.

This model is adapted for left-hung doors and is used together with a mortise lock or mortise lock with 9 mm piston in the Connect series.

With the right-hand function (locked in de-energized position), the STEP 28E ensures that the door remains locked even in the event of a power failure.

The electric strike is fire-approved up to class E/EI 60 and has a built-in piston contact and a latching contact that enables precise status monitoring via an access control system or alarm system.

The high breaking strength of over 15 kN and guaranteed function at strip pressure of up to 500 kg make this electric strike an excellent choice for security-rated doors and spaces.

The construction is tamper-proof, and installation is simplified with an included 5-meter halogen-free connection cable.

STEP 28E Secure is often used in combination with emergency escape locks according to SS-EN 179, where requirements for escape, security and door automation coincide.
