The STEP 40 Preload electric strike is an electric strike in STEP's Preload series that combines compact design with exceptional operational reliability and long service life.

With the right-handed function (locked in de-energized position), STEP 40 is suitable for environments where secure daytime locking is important, such as office doors, entrances and passage doors.

Thanks to STEP's patented HPR® technology, opening is guaranteed even if the door is subjected to strip pressure of up to 250 kg, providing outstanding functionality in everyday use.

The high breaking strength of 1,200 kg and testing up to 1,500,000 cycles ensure that STEP 40 can withstand high opening frequencies for a long time.

With a built-in piston contact, you get a clear indication whether the door is open or closed – ideal for integration into access control systems.

The electric strike is also tamper-proof, has a built-in protection diode and is reversible for both right- and left-hung doors. Suitable for single and double-leaf locks.
