The STEP 48 Preload electric strike is a versatile electric strike that combines operational reliability and flexibility in a compact design.

With its reversible feature, the product can be configured as either forward facing (locked without power) or reverse facing (unlocked without power), making it ideal for a variety of door environments – from offices to public spaces with adaptability requirements.

The sheet metal is equipped with STEP's patented strip pressure technology, which ensures that the door can be unlocked even with strip pressure of up to 40 kg.

This makes STEP 48 Preload particularly suitable for doors with sealing strips or where pressure conditions may occur.

With a breaking strength of 9 kN (approx. 900 kg), STEP 48 offers reliable protection. The tamper-proof design, built-in protection diode and compatibility with hook or straight bolts make the product safe and easy to install.

It is also reversible for right- or left-hung doors and can handle both single and double-latch locks.
