STEP 48 Preload is a compact and secure electric strike with a right-handed function and STEP's profile pressure technology. It can handle profile pressure up to 40 kg and is reversible for right/left doors.

The STEP 48 Preload electric strike is a smooth and reliable electric strike with a forward-facing function, designed for environments where the door is to be locked with a key or knob.

It is part of STEP's Preload series and offers a compact design combined with advanced technology to ensure reliable operation – even when pressed against the door.

Thanks to STEP's patented strip pressure technology, the door can be unlocked even if it is exposed to strip pressure of up to 40 kg.

This makes the product particularly suitable in spaces that require smooth opening even under load, such as in office premises, apartment buildings or public environments.

The electric strike is reversible for both right- and left-hung doors and is tamper-proof and equipped with a built-in protection diode.

It has a breaking strength of 9 kN (approx. 900 kg) and can be used with both single and double-latch locks.

It is also possible to supplement with a lock indicator (ST4880) that blocks the access system when mechanical locking has occurred - for increased security.
