Electric strike STEP 98 Preload HPR is a fire-approved electric strike with high security and reliable function for doors that require high intrusion resistance.

STEP 98 Preload HPR is a fire-approved electric strike designed for spaces that are to be locked with a knob or key.

It is part of STEP's Preload series, and is especially adapted for doors that require high operational reliability and long service life.

STEP 98 Preload uses the patented strip pressure technology that allows the door to always open, even with a pressure of up to 40 kg.

In addition, the electric strike plate is certified for fire resistance up to E/EI 120 according to SS-EN 14846:2008, which provides extra safety.

The product has a reverse function, where the door is unlocked in the de-energized position, and is equipped with a plunger switch to indicate whether the door is closed/open.

It is also reversible to fit both right- and left-hung doors.

STEP 98 Preload can handle locking out hook bolts or straight bolts and can be used with both single-latch and double-latch locks.
