STEP 352 is a motor lock that has been developed to ensure secure locking around the clock. The motor lock is developed for high-frequency use and can handle several million openings, which also happen as quickly as an electric strike. This provides a unique opportunity to get higher security where it is needed, and thus get the right locking on vulnerable and important doors.
STEP 352 is equipped with a hook bolt and automatic cylinder. The automatic cylinder allows you to lock your door with a pull handle on the outside, as emergency opening can be done with a key from the outside, in combination with evacuation according to SS-EN 179:2008 from the inside. The lock can therefore be used with advantage in an alarmed escape route.
The lock can combine evacuation, re-entry, fire protection and accessibility requirements, while providing the door environment with significantly higher intrusion resistance. The sturdy latch bolt ensures that the door is truly locked, not just held.
STEP 352 is equipped with STEP's unique automatic piston. When the door is opened electrically, the automatic piston can fold out, thus enabling opening with door automation. Immediately after the door is opened, the automatic piston extends, locks into position and functions just like a regular drop piston again.
The lock has a double blocking where the hook bolt blocking is also blocked. The position of the latch is read by an optical sensor so you can be sure that it is really locked. The latch is completely protected from access and thus ensures protection against manipulation.
STEP 352 is equipped with FreeDrive®, our unique and patented technology that completely disengages the lock's motor and gearbox every time the door is mechanically unlocked.
This minimizes wear and tear when using the handle, knob, key or escape fitting.
