The DP721I is a two-wire optical smoke detector with replaceable smoke chamber intended for connection to conventional central devices.
The detector meets the requirements according to EN54.
The DP721I works according to the principle of reflected light and the patented measuring chamber provides safe detection even at an early stage of a fire.
Once a day, a complete self-test of the electronics and the measuring chamber takes place.
In the event of an error, a yellow LED lights up on the detector and no special test equipment is needed.
Changes in the detector's sensitivity caused by, for example, soiling are automatically compensated.
In this way, the sensitivity originally calibrated according to the specification in EN54 is maintained and the risk of unwarranted alarms is minimized.
Thanks to the fact that the measuring chamber is easily replaceable, service and maintenance can be made more efficient.
The detector's status and need for cleaning can be checked using the built-in test function.
