STEP 98 Preload is a fire-approved electric strike with adjustable function, designed for security doors that are locked with a knob or key.

Preload is a high-security electric strike that offers both reliable security and functionality for doors that are locked with a knob or key.

Certified for fire resistance up to E/EI 120 according to SS-EN 14846:2008, this electric strike ensures that the door remains locked under extreme conditions.

STEP 98 is equipped with STEP's patented strip pressure technology, which allows the door to be unlocked even with a strip pressure of up to 40 kg.

The reversible function (forward or reverse) allows STEP 98 to be adapted to installation needs, providing increased flexibility for different door systems.

It is also equipped with a piston switch that provides indication of the door's status (closed/open) for integration with access control systems and alarm systems.

With a breaking strength of 9 kN (approx. 900 kg), knock-proof design, and the ability to open despite strip pressure of up to 40 kg, STEP 98 offers reliable performance in both forward and reverse operation.
