Värme genereras genom ett värmeelement och en fläkt som blåser luften från sidan in i detektorn som provas.
Rök genereras från kassetten när en glycrol-gel uppvärms. Denna typ av rök är det närmsta vi kan komma riktig brandrök utan att elda!
